Publications
Pursuant to the statutory obligations the Central Bank of Montenegro prepares reports to communicate the most important information concerning economic situation in the country and the global economy.
Reports that are posted on the website are: Weekly international financial market report, monthly CBCG Bulletin, quarterly CBCG Macroeconomic Report and Inflation Report, as well as quarterly banks` financial reports (balance sheets and profit and loss statements) (Overview of banks in Montenegro), and at the annual level we publish Central Bank of Montenegro Annual Report, CBCG Financial Report with the External Auditor’s Report, CBCG Annual Macroeconomic Report, Financial Stability Report and Price Stability Report. The Central Bank also prepares and publishes Working Papers covering current economic issues.
Preparation and publishing of the aforesaid weekly report are a part of regular activities of the Financial and Banking Operations Department, whereas the Department for Financial Stability and Research and Statistics is in charge of preparing the quarterly and annual CBCG Macroeconomic and Inflation Report and working papers; quarterly financial reports of commercial banks are prepared by the Banking Supervision Department.
CBCG Bulletin
CBCG Bulletin is compiled and published by the Department for Financial Stability and Research and Statistics which is coordinated and managed by the Vice-Governor for financial stability and payment systems. This Department is organized in three Directorates (Directorate for Financial Stability and Payment System Oversight, Directorate for Monetary Policy and Fiscal Research and Directorate for Balance of Payments and Real Sector Developments)
CBCG Bulletin provides an overview of the main movements in Montenegro (real, monetary, fiscal and international relations) at monthly level.
CBCG Macroeconomic Report
CBCG Macroeconomic report is compiled and published by the Department for Financial Stability and Research and Statistics, on the quarterly and annual basis.
This report presents the analysis of the main movements in Montenegro (real, monetary, fiscal and international relations) at quarterly and annual level, the regional and international comparisons, current situation in the Montenegrin economy (Topic of the Issue), and EU topics.
Inflation Report / Price Stability Report
Department for Financial Stability and Research and Statistics compiles and publishes quarterly Inflation Reports and the annual Price Stability Report.
These reports give analysis of inflation in Montenegro through the analysis of the main inflation indicators, inflation expectations, inflation determinants (demand, supply and production, stock exchange indices, and money supply) and monetary policy measures, which serve as the basis for expert inflation forecasting using appropriate econometric models.
CBCG Annual Report
CBCG Annual Report is compiled and published by the Department for Financial Stability and Research and Statistics in cooperation with other organizational units in the Central Bank.
This report gives an overview of the basic activities of the Central Bank’s organizational units in the past year, including an expert assessment of the main economic developments in Montenegro in the reporting year.
Financial Stability Report
Financial Stability Report is compiled and published at the annual basis by the Department for Financial Stability and Research and Statistics, with the participation of the Supervision Department.
The report provides analysis of threats, risks and vulnerabilities of the financial system of Montenegro, both those generated internally or coming from the external macroeconomic environment, and regardless of being results of imbalances in the financial system itself. The analysis also covers potential spillovers and effects of vulnerabilities in the financial system on economic growth and systemic risk accumulation. The report provides an assessment of the current situation and gives recommendations for the financial system stability maintenance.
