INVITATION TO BIDS No. 014/2005
under International Competitive Bidding
for Minting Re-print Issues of Montenegrin Coins
The Subject of the Bidding
In 2006 it will be the 100th anniversary of the issuance of the first Montenegrin coins (1906-2006).
In order to mark this anniversary, the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBM) invites legal persons registered for the conduct of the mentioned activity to submit bids for minting the reprint issues of the Perper of the Principality of Montenegro (gold coins, silver coins and alloy coins) and making boxes for the packaging of the collections.
The bidders should provide necessary quantities of gold, nickel and bronze for minting the coins.
All coins made in precious metal must be visibly marked by stamps showing the manufacturer, fineness and relevant institution.
For all the coins referred to in the Invitation, the CBM possesses the main tools, which the selected bidder should adjust by changing the year of minting (i.e. 2006).
The coins in precious metal must be made in proof technology according to the presented model and subject to the consent of the orderer for each individual die per denomination.
The alloy coins must be minted in the high shine technology.
The coins in precious metal will be packed in tight plastic casings and then in boxes of calfskin or skivertex that will carry the imprinted dry seal of the royal coat of arms of the Petrovich dynasty. Every box must have a paper sleeve with the printed logo of the CBM.

Bid Submission and Opening
Bids may be submitted until December 7, 2005 at 12:00 h (noon), by registered or insured mail to the following address:

or in person, to the room number 6 (Central Bank mail room), ground floor, at the same address.
The bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, with the indication – “Invitation No. 014/2005 - Do Not Open Before Formal Meeting of Bid Opening Commission”.
The bidding documents - the specification may be obtained at the orderer’s premises every working day during the period of the Invitation and on the CBM’s website: cb-cg.org.
The bid opening will be public and will take place on December 9, 2005, at 13:00 h.
Public bid opening may be attended by bidders’ authorized representatives. The persons attending the bid opening must present their written authorizations to the Bid Opening Commission, before the beginning of the meeting.
Untimely and incomplete bids will not be considered.
